River Park 2012
The recent transformation of the Fuengirola river near the Castillo Sohail into the first River Park (Parque Fluvial) on the Costa del Sol does not end with its recent opening.
Now that the whole area have been converted into a recreational area, the Fuengirola Town Hall is now planning the second phase which runs for 350 meters upstream to the border of Mijas bringing the full length of the river park to 850 meters.
It is hoped that the project with be completed by the end of 2012. Importantly funding is already in place for the project.
